Traveling Yoga Girl saves Sea Turtles & Empowers Women with Yoga Pants

San Diego (April 4, 2017) - Do you ever feel insecure wearing tight pants to yoga? You and me both. Women of all shapes and sizes are experiencing what Larissa Miller, Founder of PIYOGA, calls “Selected Situation Self Conscious Syndrome”- and she’s launched her Indie Go Go crowdfunding campaign to help.

Empowering women can start on the yoga mat, and making sure we feel comfortable in that space of surrender is key to developing self-confidence, and it starts when we put on our yoga pants. The yoga community is growing strong and many say it is the mystical force that has liberated their mental freedom.

Larissa set off to explore and better understand how to empower women. “Yoga is for everyone,” she explains, “I wanted to find a way for women of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, and religions to feel accepted and a part of the conscious yoga community.” What she found to be one of the sources of this segregation will shock you.

    It was the yoga pant.

Did you know that most yoga pant companies only make pants up to size 12, but the average American is a size 16? Where do the rest of us fit in?

After months of drawing designs, PIYOGA crafted a form flattering yoga pant that could be worn by anyone. The height of the pants can be adjusted to fit someone from 4 feet 10 inches to 6 feet and the waist stretches from size 0 to 16. The pants pull in at the waist, and billow out at the hips to accentuate your natural curves. Finally- no more trying to suck your body into super tight pants!

Handmade in Bali, they are not only great yoga pants, they are ideal for traveling, hiking and exploring.

“We like to call them the Sisterhood of the Traveling Yoga Pants,” Larissa says with a smile. As they really do seem to fit just about everyone who tries them on.

The best part? Each PIYOGA pants has a purpose––10% of net profits goes to sea turtle conservation efforts in Bali. A healthy sea turtle is a sign of a healthy ocean. Sea turtle levels have been dropping drastically and 6 out of the 7 sea turtles species are considered either threatened or endangered. PIYOGA has a plan to help. “We all can make a difference,” Larissa explains.

With 9 months into business, PIYOGA pants is ready to expand production into petite, plus, kids and men’s sizes and plans to take the business international by the end of 2017. You can pre-order your PIYOGA pants now on Indie Go Go until May 18, 2017 for a special discount, receive free perks along the way, and know that you are supporting sea turtle conservation, and empowering women by doing so.

    Namaste.
